MS National Geographic Orion is part of the fleet of Lindblad Expeditions. This cruise line works together with National Geographic. The ship was built in 2003 at the Cassen-Werft in Emden, Germany. Back then the ship was named MS Orion for short and sailed for the company Explorer Maritime. MS National Geographic Orion is an expedition cruise ship and is equipped with a strengthened hull that makes it possible to sail in the polar waters. The passengers also get the possibility to rent profession photo cameras on board during the cruise.
